Not a serious blog

The question is: do we really need another blog about windsurfing on Long Island, NY? The answer is simple (at least to me): NO we don't!! There are already other windsurfers who make a great job (above all the Peconic Puffin) at describing the action on the east end of the island. Moreover, I frankly don't have the time nor the dedication to blog about the great sessions I missed because I had to work or the cold front passed above my head overnight....
So I will use this space as a dumpster of occasional thoughts (often not politically correct), pics and videos of my (rare) windsurfing activities. Also, it is really nice to have my favorite links organized in one page! But feel free to post a comment if you want to.

Nice mast-top photo! And a fourth Long Island windsurfing blog (and a fifth and a sixth and a seventh) seems fine to me...the more the merrier! We're going to need some more wind to keep us all busy, though.

Mike, how did you find me so quickly!!?? This blog (if you can call it that way) does not even show up in google searches. Anyhow, you are right we need more wind.
Perhaps I'll show up at Ponquogue one of these days no matter the infamous rinse cycle and your sharks...
Thanks for dropping a word!

I dropped a few words, actually. I found your blog in a list of referrers to my blog...it's always interesting to see who's linking to you. So when I saw "Occasional Windsurfing Long Island" I had to investigate...

Hi Antonio, welcome to the world of LI windsurf bloggering! I hope to see you at the beach soon.

BTW, what kind of camera do you use as your mastcam?

Hi Jeff! Of course I read your nice blog too so I "know" you a little.
The shot was taken with a Canon Powershot SD750 and underwater housing. I didn't really buy the camera for shooting windsurfing action but when I tried it on top of the mast with a sturdy home-made mount, it worked pretty well. I can take movies too and it's pretty stable. I'll make a post about it when I have the time.
Hope to meet you guys for an ocean session one of these days.
